In Response to "Obama wants to reduce the amount of fuel imports"

Kelsey Sewalson makes some good points in this post of "Obama wants to reduce the amount of fuel imports". Not only did she get me to nod my head at a couple of things but you caught my attention at the facts. Obama calling for one-third reduction on oil imports over the next decade. That's great, but just like Kelsey said "approximately every president has said that they are going to reduce the amount of fuel imported to the United States but has never lived up to it. " She's right! How many times do these prices go up and down. Not only has it been done with Obama as president but just about everyone before him. Now, I don't know much about the process of trying to reduce gas prices and recall oil, which seems like a hard process considering most of the times the reduction of gas prices has not changed since the first Arab Oil Embargo in 1973, as Kelsey mentioned before. But maybe thats just it! Kelsey also says " I don't believe that anything will ever change until people start stressing the issue more and take action instead of talking about it." I couldnt have said it better myself. Maybe its not the presidents that arent doing what they say, its the united states as a whole taking action of how serious we are about that. We cry and whine to it about our husbands but when do we really cry and whine about it to the president or government, that way we're letting people who can, in some ways, really change this. In the end though we are the root of every cause, the people make a difference and it seems like what Kelsey is saying is America seems to not be showing just how serious we are taking this! How we need to walk the walk!

Kudos to this post, you have definitely educated me more about your thoughts as well as what exactly is going on in this area with our country!:)
